Charitable Institute is a registered Charity with bases in Iceland and Switzerland. We operate as a Volunteer Hub, a global Think Tank, and a content engine dedicated to solving the world’s most stubborn crises. Our premise is distinct and high-leverage: to solve a problem on the ground, you must first fix the idea that created it.
Some people believe that you can only help the world with environmental issues or humanitarian crises with a shovel or direct action on the ground. However, we argue that Communications are even more important. We point out that a single organization can rarely make a substantial difference with groundwork alone.
To truly change the trajectory of the world—whether that is stopping a war in Ukraine, saving Biodiversity, or solving economic stagnation—Governments need to be involved. And for Governments to get involved, they need two specific things:
The desire by the general public.
The support from scientists.
Our mission is to influence these stakeholders. We function as a strategy engine that informs the public, challenges harmful norms, and protects human value.
Our Impact: Transforming Ideas into Action
We work across the spectrum of human challenge, from political intervention to ecological truth. By identifying gaps in the global conversation, we produce world-class intellectual assets—stories, scientific theories, and economic blueprints—that challenge the consensus.
Conflict & Human Value: When Russia invaded Ukraine, we launched global messaging campaigns in support of the people of Ukraine.
Nature & Survival: We are redefining the conversation around Biodiversity, shifting the focus from "sentimentality" to "survival." We highlight the acute nature of this problem, noting that scientists estimate we are losing around 100 species per day.
Operational Efficiency & Resources
We respect the value of resources. We operate two Volunteer Centers (in the Swiss Alps and the Icelandic Arctic). Thanks to the unique community models we employ at these locations, we are partially self-sustaining.
However, we are restrained by our lack of resources. To achieve our potential, we require external support to keep our volunteer centers going, and to expand the scope and delivery methods of our campaigns. We act as an efficient machine: your support goes directly into the creation and deployment of our projects and maintaining the hubs that make this work possible.
We operate as a global Think Tank and Content Publisher. Our method is consistent: we identify a crisis where the current consensus is failing, analyze the empirical data, and deploy a specific communications vehicle to shift the narrative.
Crucially, we are politically neutral. We do not fit into the standard boxes of Left or Right. We are guided solely by the search for solutions based on common sense and empirical evidence, allowing us to challenge policymakers on all sides of the spectrum.
Here are the specific campaigns and ideas we are championing:
1. Cultural Reform: Narrative Over Legislation (The FGM Project)
In Somalia, Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) continues despite legal bans because it is deeply rooted in cultural stories. We argue that you cannot just legislate culture away; you must narrate it away. www-somalia.com
We created a compelling fictional story that exposes the reality of FGM from the inside. This book has been translated into 15 languages, and soon all will be available as Audiobooks to bypass literacy barriers.
The Blueprint: It is crucial to provide a narrative that locals can relate to, understand, and hear in their own language. We provide a story that gives them hope and a blueprint for change.
A Challenge: We strongly encourage you to listen to the beginning of the English version Audiobook here: www-somalia.com/audiobook - It is guaranteed to make you cry.
2. Fighting Tyranny & Information Warfare
We see new forms of Colonialism and Tyranny rising globally. When Russia invaded Ukraine, we did not stay neutral. We engaged in a direct messaging counter-offensive.
The Reach: At its peak, our messages of support and truth reached 100,000 people per day all over the world.
The Mission: We operate www-russia.org (which we recently updated) to fight propaganda with a narrative of our own and to defend the values of democracy, starting with a revolution. We also maintain hotel-rwanda.com to remind the world of the tragic cost of complacency regarding Genocide, a lesson that remains just as relevant today (e.g., in Sudan and Ukraine).
3. New Diplomacy
We call for a radical shift in international relations toward the concept of Goodwill. Current diplomacy is often transactional and cynical. We advocate for a new diplomatic standard that prioritizes long-term mutual stability over short-term geopolitical gain.
4. Individual Freedoms & Alternative Lifestyles
We champion the rights of the individual against the crushing weight of conformity. Whether it is the right to choose who you love, how you live, or simply the right to be different, we defend Individual Freedoms and support tolerance for Alternative Lifestyles. A free society must have space for those who live outside the norm.
5. Structure & The Future of the Next Generation
Poverty and stagnation are often engineering problems. We provide sophisticated blueprints for nations in crisis.
To Give the Next Generations a Future: Under www-us.org, we publish policy ideas that, while centered on the US, are applicable to many nations facing stagnation. This includes a compelling story about a hypothetical presidential candidate who adopts common-sense reforms. We propose solutions for housing that reject subsidies in favor of market mechanics and transport improvements. Our goal is to fix structural blockages to secure a future for the youth.
Comprehensive National Solutions: For nations like Sri Lanka, we offer a path to recovery (www-sri-lanka.com). This is high-level structural advice aimed at governments to help them transition from collapse to self-sufficiency.
Financial Sanity: We actively critique the "Greater Fool" theory of Cryptocurrency and Gold, pointing out the flaws in the application of modern monetary policy and advocating for sustainable economic growth rather than speculative bubbles.
6. Biological Reality: Health & Nature
We are one of the few charities willing to challenge the "Green" establishment.
Worldwide Biodiversity: Under www.biodiversity.vision, we argue that giants like Greenpeace and the WWF often focus on "sentimentality" rather than ecosystem survival. This focus has failed: extinction rates are now around 100 species lost per day. We fight for empirical truth—arguing that effective conservation requires managing populations to ensure diversity. We aim to go beyond superficial feel-good measures to make a real difference for the whole ecosystem.
The Magnusson Theory: We act as a patron for radical science. We are supporting the publication of the Magnusson Theory of Refractive Cosmology, a framework that removes the "magic variables" found in current cosmological models—potentially the most original scientific thoughts since Einstein.
7. Health & Human Potential
We look for the causes of suffering that commercial medicine often ignores.
The Autism Puzzle: We investigate the patterns of Autism and the profound damage done to youth by the lack of human connection.
Gender Equality: We fight tirelessly for women's rights and equality, challenging systemic oppression worldwide.
Men's Health Crisis: This includes the silent crisis affecting men—specifically the vanity-driven epidemic of Anabolic Steroids, inspired by the tragic loss of the legendary strongman Jon Páll Sigmarsson.
The Addiction Trap: From the risks of trending slimming drugs to the isolation caused by Online Gaming, we analyze the habits that are stripping away human vitality.
Many organizations consume significant funding on administration. We operate differently. To ensure efficiency, we have built a physical infrastructure that acts as a "volunteer engine" rather than a corporate office.
We operate two Volunteer Centers & Think Tanks. These locations feature two of the best views in the world, doubling as inspirational sanctuaries for our writers, scientists, and helpers.
The Swiss Hub: alp.casa (located in Oberägeri, overlooking the Alps).
The Icelandic Hub: washitsu.casa (located in Rif, facing the Snæfellsjökull glacier and the meeting point of the Atlantic and Arctic Oceans). See snaefellsjokull.org
The "Self-Service Plus" Philosophy
These centers function on a unique philosophy. We do not employ maids or concierge staff. Instead, our community of volunteers and visiting thinkers manage the facilities themselves. Everyone cleans up after themselves and does "a little bit more."
This operational model allows us to be partially self-sustaining. However, maintaining these hubs requires constant resource management. External support is vital not only to deploy our global campaigns but also to make these volunteer centers possible and keep them running as open sanctuaries for independent thought.
An Invitation to Visit
We are not a closed fortress; we are an open community. You are welcome to visit us, stay with us, and see our work first-hand.
Whether you are a creative looking for a quiet space to write, a thinker wanting to debate policy, or a volunteer willing to help with the physical maintenance of one of our centers—or assist otherwise in creative or mundane ways—we invite you to join us.
Just contact us to arrange it. Together we can brainstorm, create, and refine campaigns that truly help the world.
There are three ways to become part of our mission: visiting us, amplifying us, or funding us.
1. Amplify the Narrative
You can help us significantly simply by highlighting our projects. Our campaigns are based on our specific views of how to help the world. You might not agree with us on 100% of things, but it is highly likely that you agree with many of our aims—whether it is saving species or protecting human rights.
We therefore ask you to explore our work, pick the issues you agree with, and forward them to your friends and acquaintances. In the information age, sharing a truth is a form of activism.
2. Volunteer & Participate
As mentioned, we welcome volunteers at our centers in Iceland and Switzerland. We need diverse talents—from thinkers and creative individuals, media experts and presenters, to those that are willing to help with mundane things, computer work, deep cleaning or a combination thereof.
By lending your time, you keep the engine running and at the same time benefit from our locations of tranquility, beauty, and our views.
3. Financial Support
We are severely restrained by a lack of resources. To keep our volunteer centers open and to expand the scope and delivery of our global campaigns, we rely on donations.
We offer two distinct avenues for financial support, differentiating between those who wish to support all our campaigns and those who need a restricted option.
Main Option (Icelandic Charity)
For the majority of our supporters who wish to back the full breadth of our work, please use our main Icelandic Charity account. This fund is unrestricted and allows us to fight for human value on all fronts, including our political advocacy against tyranny, our economic critiques, and our campaigns for structural reform.

The Charitable Institute exists to help the world through communication campaigns.
Some organizations build physical bridges; we build intellectual ones. From securing the rights of women in Somalia to defining the preservation of biodiversity worldwide, our goal is to deliver the narratives that inform the public, challenge harmful norms, and protect human value.
We welcome your financial support and/or your personal engagement.
Your donation ensures that we can create narratives to help the world in whatever direction the truth leads us. It allows us to confront hard norms and deliver content that informs, challenges, and protects human value.
But beyond funding, we depend on readers, listeners, and supporters like you to keep our work alive. Whether you choose to stay at our sanctuaries, volunteer your time to maintain them, or help us expand our reach by forwarding our mission to individuals, companies, and other organizations that could join our efforts, or sharing our stories with those who would benefit from reading or listening to them, you are part of our effort.
We invite you to join us. Help us find the truth, speak it loudly, and leave the world better than we found it.
